    Rocha's Automotive is probably the best shop we have ever been to. My husband and I were 8 hours from home, our truck broke down and the team got us right in and fixed it right away. The team there is best in class service. If you are in need of a fantastic automotive mechanic, look no more. They are honest, fair and very service oriented. My only wish is that they had a shop close to my home.

    Black "Squeaky" Betty now purrs thanks to Trey & Elijah! What a difference some lower ball joints & tie rods make LOL! Another amazing discovery, I went to rip back my driver's door, bracing my arm muscles because it's been hard to open to get into her with its loud cracking hinge & Viola! It smoothly opened. Mind blown! No more squeaky annoyance & my arms are saved! Another Hero amongst this power team is Jessica. Beautiful soul who answers the phone with cheerful grace and gives you with the most amazing smile each time. Chauffeur extraordinaire!!! Hands down, best mechanics family in Humboldt! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    Rochester was an awesome ser ice I had a smog done it was done in like 15-20 min. They had a very comfortable waiting area with TV snacks, and coffee. Everyone was nice and very curious and helpful.

    Tony and Angie from Rochas Automotive do awesome work and follow up! I had my truck smogged there and was having problems with it passing and they told me what to do and it passed! I went their this week do’s oil change and set up tune up! Not only are they friendly but prompt with time! He showed me a video of what they did on my truck and what neededz to be done! It was really cool to see it on video!

    I took my vehicle in to get an inspection prior to selling it. While there I asked if they could also do a smog test. They did and it saved me another trip in, so it was all taken care of in one appointment. Also, their inspection report was thorough and included photos. Very happy with their service!

    Rocha's has given me great service since Lithia has no longer performed the service in our area. I have received multiple oil changes. Every time they are professional and kind. I wish there wasn't so much to fix, but the last couple of times there has been a lot. I appreciate the pictures they include with the report as well as the fact that they are willing to text with me when I can't answer a call. I work many hours and struggle to answer calls and drop off and pick up my vehicle during normal business hours. I can drop it off with the key drop and then only adjust my schedule to pick it up during normal business hours.

    I was pleasantly surprised when they got me in the same day I called for an appointment to have my transmission diagnosed.. They got me right in and within minutes had a computer read out of exactly how My transmission was failing and walked me through with the diagnosis in a way that could only come with decades of experience..

    Took my car for an oil change and diagnose a sound while turning. They said it was the cv axles. Replaced them that day and it still makes noise while turning. They also said I needed to replace my gear oil, which I had done earlier this year. They didn’t even check. Over priced and a waste of time. Oh and I also asked for my headlights not to be turned off due to an electrical issue that causes bulbs to burn out when turned on and off. Was told they would make a note of that but the lights were off when I picked up my vehicle.

    Chelsea, I am sorry you’re still having issues with your Subaru. As we explained to you in person, we do not recommend putting aftermarket CV axles on Subarus. We have experienced lots of issues with them due to quality of parts and manufacturing. Unfortunately the OEM Subaru CV axles are considerably more expensive than the aftermarket china parts. The OEM Subaru axles were not available same day, and we did not perform the repairs on your Subaru. With only 1 Subaru dealer in the county aftermarket axles would have been installed on your vehicle by who I do not know. All components need to be torqued to specifications etc. We have a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty on repairs, if we would have performed the repairs you would be covered under warranty etc. We checked the car fax history and there is no record of maintenance on your vehicle other than oil changes since 2021. Fluid maintenance is important to your vehicle. We test each fluid with test strips as shown in your digital vehicle inspection. Your headlamps I take full responsibility for, its a natural reaction for a tech to turn them off when exiting the vehicle. I will happily take care of this issue for you free of charge.

    I was on a long road trip when my truck broke a ball joint. It seemed like a disaster. Luckily it happened in Fortuna CA! The entire staff here was wonderful and they squeezed me in, went above and beyond, and got the fix done quickly. Almost miraculously, they had me back on the road in 48 hours!     Rocha's Automotive did an excellent job of repairing and maintaining my 1986 Ford F-150. This was a bit older than most of the automobiles they support, but the quality of work was outstanding. I had a dual fuel tank switch problem that other repair places had not been able to fix even with two trips and $2,000 later. I also had a blown fuse problem that they handled well. It turns out the 1986 F-150 was the last year made trucks without a wiring harness-so the fuses were not located in central fuse box (the blown fuse was located under the dash near the ignition key switch). So very grateful for their in depth knowledge of older vehicles.

    The guys were polite and quick. The facilities were nice for waiting. They did charge me $160 to just look at my car for less than an hour and didn’t diagnose the problem. It was not their fault they couldn’t diagnose it, my car was just too broken. I’ve had my car worked on at two other places in Fortuna since then where I was not charged for diagnostic at all. At Redwood Wrench I paid less to have an oil change, belts changed, and hours of diagnostic work. I highly recommend them and Ivey Automotive where they did their best to save me money and did not charge for diagnostics. $160 is just way way too expensive to not even get information in return. I don’t think I should have been charged at all for what little they did.

    Kathy, I am sorry you feel that way. The emission inspection for the state of California is $70.00 . Your 2011 Ford Focus has a check engine light that comes on and goes off at times. The California emission tests fails If your light is on at time of test. The code was a P0128, we had to perform tests to determine cause of concern. We gave you an estimate up front on what it would take to diagnose the P0128, and what it would take to repair your vehicle after the diagnosis was completed. The diagnostic fee was $157.00 which you signed and approved. Unfortunately with out the diagnostic process we do not know what is wrong with the vehicle. I know that $227.00 is alot of money during these times. I would just like to reiterate that $227.00, got you a emissions certificate and a diagnosis of why your check engine light is on an a estimate with cost of repairs.

    Top notch personal service, quality workmanship and reasonable prices. Our family have been longtime Rocha's Fortuna clients. When Dad and Mom passed, I turned to Tony's team to prepare their (low mileage, but well worn) 1995 pickup and 2007 sedan for transfer to new owners. They gave me a vehicle history report, performed detailed inspection/diagnostic tests, recommended which repairs were essential (for safety), those that would be nice for comfort, and those may need attention sometime in the future (i.e., if driven for high mileage). Upon completion of inspection, repairs and smog, I received full documentation package for new owners. As I live out of the area, they were even kind enough to store one of the 'finished' vehicles for a few weeks until I could pickup - service above and beyond, for which I am grateful.

    When my car's engine light came on I took it to three different automotive repair shops with no success and plenty of cost. Rocha's Automotive was able to diagnose the issue in one afternoon.     I scheduled a brake check for my truck as I do a lot of towing with it. John kept me informed of the process as Travis inspected the brake system and fluids. I was pleasantly surprised to find out the brakes were performing well and I didn't need them replaced yet. They made me aware of some maintenance issues that should be handled down the road but didn't high pressure me to do them now. The waiting area was clean and comfortable. I recommend them for all your automotive repairs and system checks..
